Architectural Specifications Consultants (ASC)

ASC is an independent door hardware specification practice with more than 35 years of specification writing, and one of the oldest door hardware specification practices in the nation. Every specification is written in house, and the practice is the direct contact for design teams.

Services

Door hardware specification writing (Division 08 primarily, Division 10 alongside); electrified hardware and access control coordination (Division 28); guide specifications for manufacturers; product advisory.

Independence

No factory-direct ties. Product recommendations go to competitive bid.

Sustainability

Durability, life-cycle performance, documented environmental claims such as EPDs and HPDs, and provable LEED credits, written into the specification.

Healthcare, universities and education, laboratories and research, civic and cultural, commercial towers. Greater Boston to worldwide, including EN and CE requirements.
