What is a door hardware schedule?
A door hardware schedule lists every opening in a building and names the exact hardware set assigned to each one. It is the document the contractor buys from, the installer works from, and the reviewer checks against.

A hardware set gathers the hinges, the lock or exit device, the closer, the stop, the seals, and any electrified components into one named group, so an opening can be described by a single reference rather than a paragraph. The schedule then maps every door in the building onto one of those sets.
A schedule is only as good as the decisions behind it. Each set has to satisfy the fire rating, the egress requirement, the accessibility requirement, and the security function for the openings it covers. That is the work the specification does before the schedule is written.
